Khushboo Jain’s ImpactGuru aims to improve the crowdfunding environment in India

Early life and Education

In July 2014, Khushboo Jain launched the crowdsourcing website Impact Guru. She aims to provide a platform for small healthcare businesses in India to advance. She supported the growth of numerous small businesses in India through funding. From 2004 to 2007, Khushboo attended the Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research, and Entrepreneurship Education and earned her Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management (Major).

Career

Khushboo Jain started the crowdfunding platform, Impact Guru in July 2014. She wants to give Indian small healthcare companies a platform to move forward. She funded many small companies in India and helped them to rise. She later completed her MBA in Marketing at the Welingkar Institute of Management, scoring a 3.9/4.0 GPA (as determined by World Education Services) between 2008 and 2010.


Khushboo Jain recently appeared on one of India’s Fortune 40 Under 40 lists and was recognized as one of the top 15 female entrepreneurs by the NITI Aayog and the United Nations. She will receive the Women Transforming India Award in 2019. Khushboo was employed at KSPL Mumbai as a marketing and sales executive before to joining Impact Guru. There, she participated in promotional activities including media planning and exhibition organization alongside her coworkers. She also handles media planning for the business. She also contributes writing to the corporate magazine and website creation.

She is in charge of the company’s creative side, which includes the communication plan. Impact Guru’s co-founder and COO are both in charge of marketing and brand communication. She receives recognition for her work in the social impact industry and wins awards for the finest health financing and health technology brands. The Jains left their well-known positions in consulting and fashion to work on a more worthwhile project — assisting those who cannot afford hospital bills. The husband-and-wife team founded Impact Guru in 2014 to assist patients with crowd-sourcing funding for their hospitalization costs. 5% of the total funds raised by the patient are retained by Impact Guru. Since its beginning, it has aided 20,000 patients by crowdsourcing more than ’50 crore for their medical care. Since contributors desire to give not only for charitable purposes but also for tax advantages, the co-founders believe their business model can be scaled. Investors are gradually becoming interested in their tale; the company has received $2.5 million, and hospital networks like Apollo Hospitals want to follow their progress.
